Fashion has been a lifelong love of mine. As a little girl I obsessed over creating the perfect
Barbie outfits and filled notebooks with sketches of tops and dresses. While studying fashion at the University of Central Oklahoma, I was presented with an opportunity to study a semester in New York; undoubtedly, I packed my bags and moved to the Big Apple. After graduation, I landed my first real industry job with a designer in New York's Fashion District. While working in one of the best fashion hubs in the world, I gained a great deal of experience in running
a successful business. That's when I caught the entrepreneurial bug!

Back home to Oklahoma, I earned a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University. During my time in the program, I was granted a significant opportunity to join the Entrepreneurship and Empowerment in South Africa (EESA) program. I moved to Cape Town, South Africa for six weeks to work with emerging entrepreneurs. I saw many small businesses that were using unconventional resources to build their businesses. Their resourceful nature prompted me to really think outside of the box and see business in a completely different manner. My education and experience gave me the confidence, direction, and inspiration to try something a little different, a mobile boutique!

In 2014, I started Cargo Room out of a custom designed cargo trailer doing pop-ups and events around the streets of OKC. In 2016, Cargo Room added a Showroom and in 2019 we officially opened our first brick-and-mortar location inside a converted pink shipping container on 9th street! Today, we operate our baby brand, Precious Cargo, out of the pink container and operate our flagship store on Broadway Avenue in Automobile Alley. Bringing the word “mobile” full-circle and helping women find special pieces for their wardrobe the whole way.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Cargo Room and myself. I really appreciate your visit (online or in-person) and hope that you will find something new to love at Cargo Room.

Best Wishes, -Heather

Cargo Room began in 2014 as a mobile boutique crafted out of a 12ft concession cargo trailer. After several months, what started as a plain “white box” tailer became a beautiful mobile boutique with an interior designed to resemble a woman’s “dream closet” with shelves and racks packed full of clothing and accessories. Our shelves and racks are still packed full of beautiful finds but we’ve said “goodbye” to the trailer and put down roots in the heart of Oklahoma City.

Cargo Room wouldn't be as cheerful and happy without our team! Take a peek at the ladies who make your shopping experience memorable and exciting.
